Radford Cakery

I have been told my groom's cake from Radford Cakery was a show stopper!!! We ordered their ice bucket with beer bottles and everyone thought it was real!!!! I was amazing and it tasted fantastic too!!! My wedding cake was a more simple design and was gorgegous!!! We got the Amaretto Strawberry cake and it was so worth it!!! I don't know if we will be able to wait a whole year to eat the top of our cake :-) We went to a few other places to do tastings, but Radford Cakery was hands down the best. Not only were the samples great (the actual cakes tasted just as good if not better than the samples), but the price is so reasonable! For the price of just the wedding cake at some other shops, we were able to get a wedding cake and grooms cake!!!! The cake was so moist, not dried out like some other places. We loved it so much we have recommended Radford Cakery to the 4 other people we know getting married in the DFW area in the next...

We weren't really very particular about how we wanted our cake to look or taste, but Radford was great at working with us to find something that fit our needs very well. We only did two cake tastings, and Radford didn't make us feel like we were wasting his time like the other place did. I think he let us try nearly every flavor combination he makes and sat with us while we debated back and forth about designs etc. I love communicating via email and they were always very quick to respond. They even prefer that you pay online, which is always a plus for us. After talking with him that first time, we felt very comfortable with his abilities and his dedication to his work. It's obvious that he takes his job seriously and knows how important weddings are, and he does his absolute best to make sure that his part goes off without a hitch. Can't forget to say that the cake tasted wonderful! And it's still pretty good two weeks...

We both really liked how are cake looked. We heard nothing but rave reviews from our guests for how good they tasted. We gave them a complicated task of recreating the Shanghai skyline for the bridal cake and they did a great job.

We had the most delicious cake!!! Ronnie did a great job of taking direction and giving me just the cake I wanted. I would recommend them to any bride!

Very pretty cakes, Super yummy and affordable!!

From the moment we walked into the tasting, we really liked Mr. Radford. He's low key, but nice and makes great cake. His cake is so good that my matron of honor (who's super health conscious and eats very well) devoured all the extra cake at the tasting! He explained his process to us and gave us lots of tasting options (other places were very stingy in the tastings...just giving you one bite). You can pick different cake flavors for each layer. Mr. Radford also offered suggestions on the design that improved it from the example picture I brought to the tasting. He provided cupcakes (shaped like Greek church domes) at my shower...and they looked just like the churches we saw on our honeymoon in Greece! Our wedding cake was fabulous and beautiful. When he first dropped it off, the fondant ribbon was not quite the right color, so he worked on it until it was right. So, a small hiccup, but he fixed it on the spot. My husband LOVED the cake, and we think we might order one layer (the one neither of us got to try on our wedding night) for Valentines Day this year.

Ron is extremely creative and easy to work with. My cake was very untraditional as I had a destination wedding. My cake was beautiful and tasted fantastic. It had white chocolate seashells and was three different shades of tan. I had two summer flavors in my four layers of deliciousness. I had hints of citrus and strawberry. I had a castle on top of my cake. It was beautiful and I was amazed of the detail that went in to making my cake. Thank you Ron for making my cake perfect for my day!

I highly recommend Radford Cakery. I used them for my daughter's wedding. They did the cakes exactly like we asked them to do. Many of our guests said that the cakes were the best cakes they had ever had, which everyone in my family agreed with. The cakes were delivered on time, were set up exactly like we asked them to do and were absolutely gorgeous. The bride and groom loved them. The cakes were much more affordable than the other cake vendors I checked out. If we ever have a special occasion again, I will certainly use them.

Radford Cakery was wonderful! My cake was designed with roses on it made from the "icing" to match the roses on my wedding dress. The cake was beautiful. The guests love the taste of the cake and were very complementary of our cake table. I highly recommend Radford Cakery.

First of all let me say that this baker is very hard to get in touch with. They were very responsive when it came to scheduling the tasting, but when it came closer to the wedding date, they became harder and harder to get a hold of. The flavors the cakes were much more noticable during the tasting, and didn't taste the same on the wedding day. Also, the groom's cake was atrocious! I would definitely not recommend this baker!

Radford cakery was amazing and definitely had the best value! They charged $3/serving and it didn't cost anything to place as much detail as we wanted on the cake or for chocolate-covered strawberries. The cake was gone by the time the reception was over and we placed room for more servings! It was so yummy!! And they're very honest - we overpayed and they gave us our money back. I would definitely use them again for another special occasion.

Amazing cake and design. I had amaretto cake with amaretto icing and it was fabulous. My husbands cake was frangelica and it was totally gone by the time it was time to put it away, including the chocolate covered strawberrys. They were extremely affordable and even cheaper for the 2 cakes than the cake guys (who I was orginally going to go with) and I got to pick out the design I wanted! Very pleased. And I'm looking for a reason to go back!

Took a few attempts & recalls on our behalf to get ahold of / any response from them throughout our setting up of consultations/ changes/ etc. The bridal cake was perfect & tasted WONDERFUL!! - 5 stars The grooms cake was not as we expected nor what was pictured on his website; but tasted beyond heavenly.

Amazing customized service. We loved the cake, and so did all of our guests and family. The other vendors said it was some of the best cake they had every had.

We did a number of tastings throughout Dallas. We went to the expensive, reputable vendors, and we tried a few our friend's used, but we kept coming back to Radford! Their flavors are incomparable. The pricing is more than reasonable. The cake was on time, designed exactly per our request (beautiful!), and MOIST, unlike so many I've had before! We had some issue with responsiveness in the early months, but the quality of the end product outweighed any frustration. In fact, the topper for our anniversary? Only lasted 2 weeks in the freezer!!! YUM!!

Great tasting cakes for the price. Very beautiful. The only complaint i have is that they were extremely hard to get a hold of. They have an email and a phone number, but it would be days before I ever heard back.

My husband and I were very pleased with our wedding cake and grooms cake. We were abe to go to the cakery, taste all the cakes (which were all amazing!), and able to pick out exactly what we wanted. They were very detailed in their notes and when our wedding came around, the cake was not only beautiful, but delicious as well. I HIGHLY recomend them to anyone wanting a cake for any occasion. Our wedding cake flavors were Banana Fosters for 2 layers and Orange Marmilade for the others. The groom's cake was Mexican Chocloate.

Let me start with the cakes were incredible! They were almost completely eaten by the end of the wedding. Everyone raved about how good they were. Also, the prices are extremely competitive. I had a another cake vendor tell me that a "guitar" cake would cost a lot more. Radford said no problem at all - easily done. They really know what they're doing. My only complaints - they're not very responsive. If you call, it goes to voicemail. And you're more likely to get a response 24 -48 hrs if you email. And even that is too long to respond to a customer - let alone a nervous bride! Also, they forgot to bring my cake topper with the cake which was very disappointing. However, I understand that it was the first time that has happened and they did everything they could make it better. Really nice people and great cake!

Everyone at my wedding reception was raving about the cake and the cupcakes! The only bite I got of the cake was the piece my husband fed to me. The cake was gone! Luckily I got to taste the yummy cupcakes. People are still talking about the cake.
