Jerry Taylor of A-1 Entertainment was wonderful to work with! I was able to pick from a vast selection of songs available in his library and save them to our play list with ease. There was a number of custom songs we requested and he was able to obtain all but one. I was extremely impressed by this! Jerry arrived to the venue very early in order to set up and start playing music as our guests arrived. He provided the music for both the ceremony & reception. Despite getting absolutely no information from my day-of coordinator, Jerry pulled off a flawless execution of both my processional & recessional songs. Jerry also recommended (and we accepted the recommendation) of playing "The Newlywed Game". It was fun, light-hearted, and our guests got a big kick out of it! I would recommend Jerry Taylor & A-1 Entertainment to anyone looking for a classy, easy-to-work-with DJ that truly strives to provide superior service to his brides & grooms.

Jerry was awesome. Very flexible and understanding with changes that were made because reception crowd was not what I expected but everything went well. The Newlywed Game was fun.

I met John at one of Dallas' Bridal shows when I wasn't really ready to start looking for a DJ but kept A-1 Entertainment's information anyway because of my interaction with him and their starting price point. I interviewed a wide range of other DJs but really liked the feel I got from my talk with John C. and from the communication with Jerry and Kay during the payment and contract process. I also really liked their website that allowed you to list songs that you did and did not want played. I was able to go in throughout my planning process and add and update the forms so that I didn't lose any of the information. When we met with John to get the details and basic itinerary of what we wanted the reception to look like I was impressed with all the detail he considered and ideas he suggested. The Grand Exit he suggested really went over well and I really do appreciate the painstaking efforts he took to get the pronunciation of every name he would say down. There was one "muzak" song that was played that both my husband and I looked at each other like "What the heck is this?" but it was when the guests were serving themselves from the buffet so I doubt anyone noticed but us. We did shake John up a bit at the idea of taking an "all guest" photo outside... he worried that the flow of the dancing would be affected but if it was, I don't think anyone noticed. (Never underestimate my family's desire to get down and boogie, ha!)Thank you John! I got many compliments on how well the music and flow of the reception went!If there were anything that I would recommend to A-1 is to make the client area of the website a little bit easier to navigate. Include the payment site along with the forms on one page and it would be perfect!

We selected A-1 based on reviews off of WW and we were not disappointed. From the initial meeting with Jerry he was very responsive, had great ideas, and generally put our minds at ease. Their website is great and there is a huge database of songs – no more listening to wedding CDs. My husband and I had a blast scrolling through and having flashbacks to some of the songs of our youth. One of the major selling points for me was that Jerry had worked my venue before, which was out in the sticks, so I had no worries on him getting lost, knowing how to manage sound or set up for ceremony. A few weeks before the wedding Jerry called and had been injured and wouldn’t be able to perform. As discussed in our meeting he had a replacement ready to go but you can imagine my fear, months of working with someone and then to start all over??? Jerry assured me that John was even better a DJ than he was and an extremely organized and trustworthy man. He even had me grab a pen and paper to write down items I couldn’t forget to bring (he usually has these on hand himself) like safety pens, white flour, etc. John contacted us the next day and set up a face to face meeting right away. He was accommodating to our schedules and location and helped put my OCD at ease immediately. John was at the venue when I showed up – 5 hours prior to the ceremony to make sure he had everything perfect. Through out the reception he did an amazing job of keeping the party going while reminding the photographer and us of pictures we hadn’t yet taken, working with my “acting coordinator” (a close friend) to keep everything on time and ensure nothing was missed. I would say if you are looking for a DJ in the area choose A-1. They are affordable, easy to work with and will keep the party going all night. The guests would not leave the dance floor!

He played a great selection of songs and everyone enjoyed dancing the entire night! He was also very organized and kept the wedding reception on schedule.

Jerry is the upmost professional! We had somethings go differently at the reception than we planned, but Jerry adapted to the situations and continued to be great! He has so many songs, and was able to play some music that everyone enjoyed. Very highly recommended! Thank you Jerry!!!

Jerry was amazing, everything seemed to fall apart when things got to the reception, my bakery no showed, the food took longer to serve and it was so hot outside. But none of this seemed to face Jerry, he saved the day.. literally! He kept everyone laughing and entertained and up and dacing the entire night. He was so flexiable with some of my out of the box or non-traditional song ideas and he just rolled with them. This review just doesn't do him justice, he's amazing. I still have people asking me about him and wanting his information for their events! I could not be anymore pleased!!!!!

A-1 Entertainment did an amazing job at our wedding as our DJ! The music was great - from the ceremony, through dinner and dancing! He brought everyone together, made everyone comfortable, and showed us all how to have fun! He is the DJ you dream about for any event!

We were very thrilled with the service A-1 Entertainment provided. The DJ showed up in a tuxedo, which was great, and practically managed the entire reception without a word from anyone. He had a great, and diverse, selection of music and took requests as the night went on. Bride and groom were very happy. Games were an unexpected plus. Thank you!

Jerry and Kay are ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!! They are so kind and personable and they really work with you to make your event special. Jerry was amazing at the reception! He was right on que with everything and made my life so easy. I was really able to enjoy our wedding reception because he was so on the ball. I would highly recommend them for your event. I couldn't have asked for more. They are fantastic!

We used Jerry for both the wedding and the reception and he did a great job. The planning tools they offer are great and he really stays within the music selections you make. We have received numerous compliments from guests on the great job Jerry did. Many of the guests as well as Bill and I felt this was the most fun we have ever had at a wedding reception. A-1 had wonderful planning tools and tips for me, yet they were open to my wishes and wants. Our DJ was very professional and kept the flow of the reception and party going. Everyone had a great time!

The DJ absolutely improved the quality of the reception. We received numerous compliments on the music and program that he provided. The ideas that he provided were a huge hit, including: the newlywed game and the married couples dance. He was very responsive to the mood of the guests and selected the music accordingly. We cannot think of anything that was lacking and he exceeded our expectations. We had a perfect wedding and strongly recommend using him. We have been to other weddings where the music was great, but A-1 provided more than that. I strongly suggest listening to his advice, because it will make your night much more memorable.

Jerry was an asset to our wedding and reception. We trusted him to choose the right music for our reception and were not ever disappointed. In addition to his obvious love for music, he was a wonderful MC keeping our guests (and us) entertained. He catered to our requests and had loads of fun ideas for the reception. I highly recommend A-1 to anyone who wants a DJ who will go above and beyond.

Jerry Taylor did an AMAZING job at our wedding! He was definitely one of my favorite vendors that I hired! He was very punctual, friendly to all of our guests, and did exactly what was asked of him and BEYOND! He played every song we requested, and every song our guests requested! He played very fun "newlywed" type of games that my guests are still talking about to this day! He made our wedding very different and VERY fun! I would HIGHLY suggest A-1 Entertainment!!!

A-1 Entertainment is a must for your special event. This husband and wife team was amazing. I was a very busy bride and they took care of everything. I was able to state what music I liked and put it completely in their hands. It turned out superbly. My guests had a great time and music lovers of all ages had something to sing and dance to.
